Public BetaLatest beta milestone

SimpleTrip is now on iPad

A roomier iPad planning experience, full-height place sheets, and more direct map search and pin placement.

01

Overview

Plan on a bigger canvas. Browse the map, pin places, and shape your itinerary with the space an iPad is built for—less scrolling, more seeing the whole trip at once. Whether you’re outlining a weekend getaway on the couch or fine-tuning a multi-city route at the table, SimpleTrip on iPad turns trip planning into a roomy, touch-first experience. This beta also polishes how places are found and confirmed—especially on that larger screen.

What is included in 0.02

  1. 01
    Built for iPad

    Plan on a bigger canvas

Browse the map, pin places, and shape your itinerary with the space an iPad is built for—less scrolling, more seeing the whole trip at once.

  2. 02

    Full-height place sheets

Add/Edit Place and Pick Location now open as full-height page sheets on iPad.

  3. 03

    Roomier nested Pick Location

Nested Pick Location no longer appears as a tiny centered form card.

  4. 04

    Search as typed

Map place search now uses your query as typed (Apple Maps-like), instead of rewriting it with the trip destination or hiding out-of-area results.

  5. 05

    Search or drop a pin

Pick Location supports a dual path: search when it works, or pan / tap / long-press the map to drop a pin anywhere—including overseas landmarks.

About this beta

A continuing public beta
0.02 is the current Public Beta app version; TestFlight may additionally display a build number. Its interface, capabilities, compatibility, and availability may change.
Place finding on larger screens
This update focuses on iPad layout for place sheets and on clearer map search and pin-drop confirmation.
Storage and synchronization
CloudKit is off by default, and this build does not promise real-time synchronization across iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
AI remains next-phase work
AI itinerary generation remains a next-phase direction and is not yet implemented as a complete capability.
